Dear Patients and Friends, 

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. Due to unexpected health complications and subsequent changes in my schedule, I regret to inform you that we will be closing our doors by June 1st.  

For those who have been following my journey, you know that I was originally scheduled for a knee replacement surgery in December. However, in January, I encountered additional health challenges that have necessitated this difficult and swift decision. 

I want to assure you that your care is of the utmost importance to me. I have arranged for Dr. Justin Dugas of Dugas Dental to take over your charts and continue your care. I hold Dr. Dugas in the highest regard and trust that you will be in great hands under his care. He is an experienced dentist (19 years in private practice) who emphasizes excellent care in a comfortably modern setting. I have also arranged for your beloved hygienists, Jenny and Huan, to obtain positions with Dugas Dental. I hope this will keep your care with a trusted face, and as uninterrupted as possible.  

To each and every one of you, I want to express my deepest gratitude. You have been more than just patients; you have been my friends. The trust and camaraderie we've shared over the years have meant the world to me. As we part ways, please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and may God bless each and every one of you.

Dr. Justin Dugas and his team are excited to help in the transition of dental care for patients of Highbanks Dental. Dr. Dugas graduated from dental school in 2005 and formed Dugas Dental in 2013, with a dream of offering an upgraded dental experience in a modern, comfortable setting. In 2020, Dugas Dental expanded its Lewis Center location to add more services and availability and added a second location in Mt Gilead, OH.  

 

Dugas Dental is conveniently located just 4 minutes north of Highbanks Dental, at 27 Neverland Dr. Lewis Center, OH 43035. Their website is www.dugasdental.com and the phone number is (740) 548-0575. To make the change to a new office less intimidating, Dr. Dugas hired Dr. Brown’s daughter, Jenny, as a hygienist. Jenny will treat patients 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday in Lewis Center. 

 

Dr. Dugas has two children, Gemma (10) and Everett (7). His wife, Dr. Kelly Carr, is an orthodontist (owner of Carr Orthodontics) who practices in Sunbury and Lewis Center. Dr. Dugas was recently awarded Columbus Monthly CEO Magazine’s Top Dentist for 2023 (all of Columbus) and in 2024 was recognized as a Top 50 dentist in the entire United States by The American Dentist Society.  

 

Dr. Dugas and his partners, Dr. Christina Negray and Dr. Rob Kenyon, offer services that include placing and restoring dental implants, surgical and simple extractions, root canal therapy, dentures and partials, cosmetic and therapeutic Botox, smile makeovers, veneers, crowns and bridges, tooth-colored fillings, and treatment for sleep apnea.
